A promise made in anger and pain gives Vi what she's always dreamed
of...
Jilted on the eve of her wedding because her fiancé feels their sex
life is boring, Vi Lane vows to her best friend to do the next man she
sees. Fortunately, the next man is Cere, a hard-bodied construction worker
who comes to her rescue when she gets a flat tire in the rain. Their
encounter is the stuff of fantasies and makes Vi realize perhaps her jerk
of an ex-fiancé might have been right to call of their wedding…
But as she makes plans to meet Cere again, she wonders if she’s ready
for a relationship with him…especially as she realizes there are a few
strange things about Cere and his group of friends and workers…a group he
calls the Brotherhood of the Dog.
Lucky Number Seven is a quick, hot read that
definitely satisfies. Anh Leod quickly yet thoroughly introduces
Vi and the circumstances behind her initial meeting with Cere. Those
circumstances, along with a big dose of sexual chemistry, bring these two
together and set the tone for the remainder of the story. As the seventh
man she’s been with and no pressure to build a relationship, Vi feels the
freedom to explore all of her sexuality. With quick wit, sizzling sex, and
a little understanding, Vi and Cere come to realize they may just be
perfect for each other!

Lucky Number Seven
Left almost literally at the altar
because her fiancé thought their sex life was boring, Vi Lane recklessly vows
to screw the next man she sees. She never expected the next man to be a
gorgeous construction worker named Cere who stops to help her fix a flat
on her car. As she sets out to temp and tease, she comes to realize that
perhaps her ex was correct about their sex life because sex with Cere is
like nothing she’s ever experienced before.
Although a little
surprised at the human woman’s aggressiveness, Cere does not hesitate to
take her up on her offer. But their encounter becomes more than the
werewolf expected when he discovers Vi is his mate. Can she accept his
heritage and his werewolf pack, the Brotherhood of the
Dog?
Lucky Number Seven was a surprisingly sweet and sexy
story. Anh Leod manages to hook the reader and set the stage for
Vi and Cere to find each other in an explosively sexy manner. I loved
that Vi finds Cere at such a low point in her life. He appreciates her
and brings out the sexual animal in her. But this story doesn’t stop at
a little gratuitous sex, there’s also the aspect of a mate for life.
While the story and Vi’s acceptance of Cere and his werewolf background
are a bit rushed, it’s still very enjoyable. Lucky Number Seven
is one of the most refreshing and exciting stories I’ve read in a long
while. I will definitely be on the lookout for more of Anh Leod’s
books.

The day
before Vi
Lane’s
wedding, her fiancé cancels the wedding after cheating with a
stripper at his bachelor party and telling Vi that he needs more sex
than their relationship has provided. Vi is hurt, sure, but more
than that she is angry. She decides to have sex with the first man
she sees and when her car gets a flat in front of a construction
site, she is given that opportunity. Cere is the hunky construction
worker who comes to her rescue. When Vi propositions him, the two
share a passionate interlude and they both plan to leave it at that.
Until Cere learns that Vi is his true mate.
Cere is one
of the Brotherhood of the Dog, a group of werewolves. Members of
this Brotherhood can only mate with their true mate, the one woman
capable of bearing their young. Now Cere has a difficult task ahead
of him. He must find Vi, convince her to trust him, and share the
truth of his heritage with her. No problem for this sexy
werewolf!
Lucky Number

Vivian Lane’s fiancé was
unfaithful at his bachelor party, confessed and then blamed her and their
lackluster sex life. She’s angry and determined not to trust another
man.
Cere, short for Cerberus, was
looking for nothing more than doing his work, when a pretty woman gets
stuck right in front of the drive to the construction site he’s working
on. He offers help and gets more of a reward than he ever dreamed
of. He gets his life-mate, but can he convince her of that
especially after he tells her what he is?
I really liked this
story. The sex fit right in with the design of the characters and I
loved the Brotherhood. I loved Cere and he could warm my bed any
day. I thought Vi was real enough, the hints leading to his
revelation to be enough so her reaction fit. I’d like to read more
stories about the Brotherhood. In fact my only complaint with this
story is it was too short, but since it was a quickie, I don’t think
dinging it for that would be fair. So it gets a five from me.

When Vi Lane’s fiancé
dumps her the day before their wedding, she cannot envision ever trusting
a man again. Then, just hours later, she meets Cere after getting a flat
tire. This construction worker is HOT. Following a detour via a secluded
park, Vi discovers Cere is a man who knows how to use his hands – and
mouth – to best advantage, unlike her ex-fiancé. Vi is officially
addicted. But Cere’s got a big secret. Is Vi’s budding trust in him
misplaced?
Lucky Number
Seven, part of the Naughty Nuptials series, is a great werewolf
quickie featuring a woman jilted and her true destined mate. Cere is a man
with a secret, but he is also a man who is trustworthy and protective, two
fine qualities in a man that any woman would be desirous of. Though the
tale only spans a few days, the plot pacing does not feel rushed or
incomplete and the characters are developed fairly well. Having said that,
you may find it a bit odd for Vi to walk away from a jilting and into a
sexual relationship, but this does fit the story. Whilst the werewolf
aspect of the tale could have been developed a bit more, paranormal
readers should still enjoy this tale. There are several sex scenes, which
are detailed and take place outdoors. Some of these scenes involve hints
of voyeurism. There is also a brief fantasy scene that features some very,
very mild bondage and sub mission. Overall, Lucky Number Seven is
an enjoyable, quick read and is great if you’ve ever been dumped or are a
paranormal fan.

This is an erotically charged story that werewolf lovers will
really like. The story really starts off with a bang. Cere certainly
does not expect hot sex on his lunch hour. Cere is a very sexy wolf
with a sensitive side. Vi is very angry and hurt with her ex, and is
surprised at the how quickly the relationship between herself and
Cere progresses. Cere is surprised and happy that he has found his
true mate but does not know how to tell Vi about his dual nature. I
liked both characters and their respective families added a lot to
the story. The love scenes are very erotic and well written and the
plot is well developed and interesting. I wouldn’t mind reading more
stories about these characters.

After being
cheated on and left at the alter, Vi Lane decided men are not worth it.
She is never, never trusting another man in her life. But of course she
can still have sex, right? I mean that is totally different, you can have
sex but not give your heart or trust to a man. So she tells herself that
she will have some fun with the next man she meets, and then she has a
flat tire of all things. But when she sees the man candy that comes to her
rescue, Cere, oh she is jumping up for joy, and wetting her panties. But
what Vi doesn't know is that Cere isn't a human man, he is a werewolf. He
is from a Brotherhood of Dogs called the Werewolf Pack. Cere knows that Vi
is his true mate, and he has come to claim her. Will Vi give Cere the
chance to prove that not all men are dogs, and that some can be trusted,
ones like him? Will she a lso except that Cere isn't human? And will Vi
being human be enough for Cere?
Anh Leod has
written a great werewolf story. For some ladies out there that have
experienced what happened to Vi, with a man you are in love with cheating
on you, they can understand where Vi stands. I am in love with anything
werewolf or vampire, so I have read a lot let me tell you. But the way Ms.
Leod wrote this story was so well done. The relationship between Vi and
Cere, the fight he had to show her that not all men are dogs, that some
can be trusted and not to turn away from men just because some of the bad
ones out weigh the good ones. Your true soul mate is out there and this
story shows that.

Lane is fed up, she wants an exciting adventure and she’s going after
it. When her fiancé cancels their wedding and she finds out
about his extra activities with the opposite sex, she decides to go out
and find a man who can rock her world. A flat tire is the
answer to her prayers when Cere shows up. Cere is not your
average guy, he’s a werewolf and his pack seems to think that Vi is the
perfect mate for him. Can Vi put her heart on the line for a
man who hides his true identity? How will Cere feel being mate
d to a human instead of one of his own kind? Vi must figure
out the answers before she looses her heart to the luscious Cere.
LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN is a fun read and a quick
getaway from the norm. Vi is a woman who takes charge of her
life and starts one wild adventure. I found myself trapped by
the storyline and unable to put it down until the end. There
aren’t enough words to describe how hot Cere truly is, putting them
altogether might come close. If fiery love scenes are what you
crave then you won’t be disappointed with the ones in this
story. The action is both romantic and non-stop.
Cere and Vi are perfect for each other and Cere’s pack, Brotherhood of the
Dog, sees it from the start. I hope there are more stories to
come for the Brotherhood of the Dog. Anh Leod is a spectacular
author and I believe this is only the first of many awesome
reads.
