4 Angels from Fallen Angel reviews!
Cards Never Lie
Melanie Vanderpool is in trouble and hornier than ever
since her divorce. She
 just got
promoted to a job she has dreamt of advancing to be successfully
independent. She has to come up with a fabulous product to make sales
higher than they have ever been before in the company. The problem is,
she’s afraid she’s losing it when all her thoughts go back to the tarot
card reading she received as a gift. The reading said that she would
meet a devil who is her soul mate. Not just any devil, but one who is
into bondage. Melanie is confused now for her feelings for the devil
himself might be the end of her career. Can she create a product that
will boost sales or will someone end her career before she knows what
hit her?
Rob Black is tired of convincing his grandfather not to
sell LeatherWorks, a BDSM company that has been in his life since
childhood. He knows he can make it work if only he could get his
thinking cap working. Instead of thinking up ways to boost hi s
company’s sales, a woman name Melanie, who he met at an erotic/massage
convention has been in his mind. He knows she feels the sexual passion
between them and he will do anything he can to prove to her that he’s
not like all men. Can he prove to her that his feelings are straight and
he wants a future with her? Can he save LeatherWorks and find out who
are the ones sabotaging both of their careers?
Tarot card
readings are always fun to learn about and Heather Hiestand did a
beautiful job in Cards Never Lie. Talk about sexual heat in this
book, for though there’s not much sex, you can tell Rob and Melanie are
right for each other. I loved the whole romance and sabotage to their
careers! It’s funny to see how they find out who is in it. The secondary
characters are a riot in this book, from an ex-adult actress trying to
make a life for her and her son to the grandfather who just wants to see
his grandson find the right woman. The story line is great and I loved
that Heather Hiestand brought two people opposite from each other
together so that we can see that sometimes you have to take a chance to
find love.

I just finished Heather Hiestand's book, Cards Never
Lie. It was wonderful! I didn't dare comments on it before I
got to the end, because the hero was a secret! I knew who I was rooting
for and my heart was in my mouth more than once wondering which way it was
going to go! Thank goodness it turned out to be the way I wanted! Her
heroine was such a terrific woman. Any less than the best would have upset
me terribly. Whew! You had me going there for a while,
Heather!!!

is a TOP PICK at
Romance Reader at Heart!

"I am so lucky that I was able to read and review the debut book by
Heather Hiestand, and see for myself first hand what a wonderfully
talented author she is.
Heather Hiestand’s CARDS NEVER LIE, is an all
around great read! It’s funny, witty, sexy and smart. It’s no wonder that
I loved CARDS NEVER LIE. It has a creative plot,
a unique setting and captivating characters. Not only that, there’s some
pretty hot sex scenes, too! Really, who wouldn’t want to read about a
woman who is told that her Mr. Right could be the devil, gets stuck in the
same hotel while an adult convention is taking place, and is in the brink
of losing her job? Heather Hiestand pulled out the
punches for her debut book and it shows.[...] I highly recommend getting
yourself a copy of Heather Hiestand’s CARDS
NEVER LIE. I foresee that you will enjoy this book as much
as I did!"

Cards Never Lie by Heather

It started with a tarot card reading that her assistant gave her for a
birthday present!
Melanie Vanderpool was recently promoted
to mid-level management at her Professional Massage place of employment.
Suddenly, the fact that her company was losing money and facing a serious
cash-flow problem, gave her supervisor a reason to put her promotion on
the line. He told her that her job depended upon finding new products for
inclusion in their product line!
When she and a co-worker, Tommy Joe, left
for the convention in Las Vegas, Tommy Joe intended to get more involved
with Melanie, but Melanie was interested in her product development.
Several things started happening which caused her grief! She met, and was
strongly attracted to, the CEO of LeatherWorks, LTD, Rob Black; every time
their paths crossed, sparks flew! Then strange things started
happening—her designs were showing up at another company before she could
get them approved by her boss. He thought she might be copying someone
else’s work! And she was mistaken for a porn star! Could her life get any
more confusing?
Cards Never Lie is
a book with a lot of action on-going simultaneously. It would be easy to
become bogged down with so many characters and so much “behind the scenes”
sabotage; however, Heather Hiestand does a good job of
developing her plot to eliminate conflict and confusion. There are a
couple of times I had a little trouble keeping track of everyone and their
roles but it was cleared up quickly.
The story presented here is a good one and
my interest never waned; Melanie seemed like she had a black cloud over
her head. Poor child was exposed to so much perplexity that, I’m sure, she
thought she was losing her mind. This is believable because seldom, in
real life, does only one thing “happen” which so drastically changes
situations. That there were problems from more than one angle makes the
awkwardness more credible. Ms. Hiestand is an author I
was unfamiliar with, but would recommend her work to others.
This work is a good, solid book which made
for an interesting read which I’m glad to have read.
