goes on a long haul, she realizes the problem wasn’t Columbo but her
business, so she sells it and starts another; the Ex Factor. Imagine
her surprise when the catalyst for her life changes has an
appointment. Who better to play herself than herself?
Steamy and with a side of magic, Ex
Factor was a quick satisfying read. No matter what the location or
the period of time you will find that love is never easy. Columbo’s
inability to forget Teasy illustrates to him that his lust is really love,
and Teasy just needed a wake up call to see what was really important in
life. Seductive games and interesting use of candy products makes for
a great read.

Several months on a cargo
run hasn’t lessened Columbo Balbane’s desire for his ex-girlfriend Teasy
Rose. After dating exclusively and happily for more than two years,
Teasy suddenly broke up with him, and Columbo has decided he has to see
her at least once more. Only, just before he is to return to the
Mars colony, he finds out that Teasy has sold her candy shop, and started
a new business.
After breaking up with
Columbo, Teasy lost all interest in her candy shop, and eventually started
a new business; Ex Factor. Her clients are people who would like a
chance to re-do their breakups, either being the one to end things, or
just to get closure. While she doesn’t usually meet with clients to
be the “stand-in”, when Columbo Balbane signs up for their services, she
can’t help herself. She wants to know what Columbo has to say to his
ex, “Teasy”. But can a second-chance break up lead to a regular old
second chance?
EX FACTOR is a very
interesting story. While the premise behind Teasy’s business is to
give people a chance to make their break-ups easier, she had never really
thought about it being a way for people to work things out. Teasy
ended things because she had become so consumed by her business that she
didn’t have time for much else, including her boyfriend. Columbo
hadn’t been happy about Teasy leaving him, but when he runs across
somebody who reminds him of her, he suddenly can’t get her out of his
mind. The new business she owns may give him the closure he needs,
but hopefully it will give him a chance to win her back.

Does he know Teasy now runs the business or is he just looking for
closure? Is Teasy ready to live with seeing him again and to tell him her
secret? Can Columbo deal with the consequences of that secret or will he
walk away from her for good?
Anh Leod's Ex Factor draws the reader into the fact that break
ups are not always easy. The reader feels for Columbo and Teasy as they
get a glimpse into their lives, and root for them to get past the hate of
the rest of the world they live in and just find the love that is all
theirs. Ex Factor is a wonderful story of love, lost and a fight to
regain love again.

It is the year 2310, on the planet earth. Interstellar shipper Columbo
Balbane, who was raised on Mars, is dealing with an uprising by
witches. The witches are angry because they want free trade
rights. They have very little rights; they can’t even leave the
planet. Being easily identified by their blue hair makes it
difficult for them to sneak off.
Encountering these witches reminds Columbo of his own blue-haired sexy
ex-girlfriend. She broke up with him less than a year ago and he
still misses her. Columbo decides to seek her out. He
discovers that she no longer is operating her candy business. He was
always jealous of the time that her busy business took away from him.
Now Teasy is running a business called The Ex Factor. This business
provides a safe place for people to experience closure in their
relationships. Columbo decides to personally check the services
out. Teasy chooses to appear to him in her real form instead of a
simulation. They both desperately need answers and to be
together. This is where the fun begins.
The “Ex Factor” by Anh Leod is an erotic novella that is
fun to read. I enjoyed the main characters use of candy. I
also liked that the story was set in the future and the description of the
witches and their issues is definitely unique. This is definitely a
novella that should not be missed!
